What are the possible side effects of Simucin?
Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:
Less common
- Wheezing, tightness in chest, or difficulty in breathing (especially in asthma patients)
- Skin rash or other irritation
Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

- Clammy skin
- fever
- increase in amount of mucus in lungs
- irritation or soreness of mouth, throat, or lungs
- nausea or vomiting
- runny nose
For patients using a face mask for inhalation of Simucin: the mask may leave a stickiness on your face. This can be removed with water.
When you use Simucin, you may notice that the medicine has an unpleasant odor at first. However, this smell will go away soon after you use the medicine.
Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.

What is the most important information I should know about Simucin?
- A slightly unpleasant odor may be noticeable while using Simucin solution.
- Simucin solution may change color in the opened bottle. This is harmless.
- If your breathing does not get better or if it gets worse, check with your doctor.
- Lab tests may be performed while you use Simucin solution. These tests may be used to monitor your condition or check for side effects. Be sure to keep all doctor and lab appointments.
- PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Simucin solution while you are pregnant. It is not known if Simucin solution is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use Simucin solution, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.

Simucin is contraindicated in those patients who are sensitive to it.
Simucin AS AN ANTIDOTE FOR ACETAMINOPHEN OVERDOSAGE
There are no contraindications to oral administration of Simucin in the treatment of acetaminophen overdose.
